CONTEMPORARY KITCHEN DESIGN

FOR KIRAN & DINA, FERNTREE GULLY

Dina and Kiran had quite a problem when they first called us: their double-door fridge did not fit in their kitchen and had spent 5 years located in the garage! In addition to the fridge problem, the old kitchen was out-dated and lacked practical work and storage space. Dina and Kiran’s kitchen appliances were not standard size and they wanted to be able to accommodate those appliances into the new kitchen.

When designing, we took heed of Dina and Kiran’s requirement to remove any “dead space”. To do so, we incorporated as many drawers as possible, a Hafele one-two-five integrated kitchen waste bin, a roller door cupboard to hide away clutter and a Hafele Le Mans II Corner pull out unit to tuck away those larger pots and pans. The walk in pantry was designed to accommodate all food storage and access to everyday appliances keeping the kitchen area neat and tidy.

The cabinetry was 2 pack painted in Dulux Tapestry Beige satin finish and contrasted with Caesarstone Vanilla Noir benchtops. The drawers feature a sharknose shadowline handle-less design. In a sea of white kitchens, we were absolutely delighted to see the colours in this kitchen come together to create a sleek and elegant family kitchen space!
