FRENCH STYLE COUNTRY KITCHEN DESIGN

FOR JOANNA, CROYDON

At Summit Kitchens, we absolutely love seeing our client’s ideas, sense of style and individuality infused into the kitchen of their dreams. It is what drives us!

In today’s featured kitchen you will see how we helped to translate Joanna’s personality, needs and wants into what has become a stunning and highly functional French Style Country Kitchen in Croydon. In her own words, we will let the proud new owner, Joanna, give you the royal tour!

Joanna: We wanted to create an inviting rustic French Country kitchen, which had warmth.

From our first meeting we instantly knew we would be in good hands. Their level of professionalism and expertise was balanced with warmth and excellent communication skills.

They were great listeners who helped us develop our ideas for a French country kitchen, then won us over with their clever layout. All throughout the construction process, they oversaw each step and ensured we were fully informed with the building process. Different tradespeople were involved in the construction and everyone who walked through our door was polite, respectful and skilled in their area. We are thrilled with our dream kitchen.

“…From start to finish you and your team have been diligent in delivering excellent workmanship…”

A striking farmhouse sink and tapware were important design features in our French Country inspired kitchen. A deep white ceramic sink that not only looked gorgeous but was functional… A sink that would enable large items such as oven racks and pots to be washed easily. Handy for filling up those tall vases too. ”

The colour palette was important as we wanted light muted tones which would contrast with our rustic Italian tiles. We chose panelled doors and black decorative knobs for their charm and elegant simplicity. The addition of a few glass doors allows us to add a pop of colour here and there.

Being tall, it is lovely to have a double wall oven. No need for bending or crouching. Everything is at eye level and easy to transport hot foods to the work area.

The kitchen feels welcoming and the eye is drawn around the space by the beautiful details. It is equally lovely at night when the lights on the under cabinetry are on, which casts a soft glow over the tiles and bench tops.

We would like to thank Joanna for inviting us into her home and allowing us to help fulfill her dreams of creating a bespoke, French Style Country Kitchen. We are proud to put our name to this gorgeous kitchen and to have delivered on Joanna’s brief.
